How it works

From a country list to your 3CX holidays in four steps.

It all happens on the Holiday Settings screen of a web application you sign in to with your 3CX extension number and voicemail PIN.

Choose countries
Tick one country or several from the list of country holidays.
Pick the year and department
Choose the year you want, and the 3CX department the holidays are for.
Get and review
Choose Get Holidays to list the dates. Edit, delete or add holidays before anything is saved.
Save to 3CX
Save, and the holidays are written to 3CX for that department.

Importing replaces any holidays already set in 3CX, so review the list before you save.

A Windows computer for Holiday Importer, running alongside 3CX: Windows 10 or later, or Windows Server 2012 or later, with the Windows web server role turned on
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 and SQL Server Express, which the installer finds and installs for you if they are missing
VoIPTools Relay, which connects Holiday Importer to your 3CX system, and the VoIPTools Universal Updater
Port 7250 open on the Holiday Importer computer

Will importing change holidays already in 3CX?+

Yes. Importing replaces any holidays already configured in 3CX. Review the list first, and edit, delete or add holidays before you save.

How far ahead can I import?+

Holiday dates are available through the year 2029. For holidays on the same day every year, set the year to Each and the holiday repeats.

Can I import more than one country?+

Yes. Tick several countries and get their holidays in one list, then remove any you do not observe.

Can I add a holiday that is not on the list?+

Yes. Add a custom holiday with its name, day, month and year, then save it to 3CX along with the rest.

Why is the default group not in the department list?+

It is left out on purpose. In 3CX the default group includes everyone on the system, and importing for everyone at once can slow larger systems down. Choose the department the holidays are for instead.

What do I need to run it?+

A Windows computer running alongside 3CX, connected to your phone system through the VoIPTools Relay. The installer adds the prerequisites it finds missing. The full list is under Requirements above.

Which 3CX versions does it work with?+

There are releases for 3CX version 20 and version 18, listed in the version history. The requirements on this page are for version 20.
